DRINKING FOUNTAIN LIMITED FROST WARRANTY
Our Filters and fountains FF5D drinking fountain hardware is warranted to perform in frosts down to -2 degrees Celsius.
If drinking fountains are installed in areas where extreme frosts can occur, then it is recommended that there be sacrificial bleeds installed, as well as a heat trace wire inside the fountain.
Additionally lagging the internal water feed pipes to protect the pipes in the fountains from damage, if extreme frosts are experienced.
Another option is to position drinking fountains on an ablution block wall rather than standalone positions in cold areas.
The only other option is to turn off Fountains at source during the coldest periods.
